Oeuvre

March 2010 Issue 4

For the fourth and annual issue of the TAKE on Art magazine, we collaborated with artist Sophie Ernst – our guest editor for the issue, inviting contemporary artists from across the globe to use TAKE pages as a blank canvas/ screen, exploring their work; their idiom; their ‘Oeuvre’. The result? An issue like none other, that unfolds to weave its own rich narrative, diversely capturing in colour, scribbles, sketches, images and testimonies, the manifold voices of some of the first names in contemporary Indian art. We encounter multifarious perspectives as each of them choose to give us a peak into what is the most significant part of their works for themselves, varied as they are from each other.
