Description

The lingam, a form unique to Indian geometry, was the point of departure for the design of this lamp cast in Aluminium. Lightweight and strong, this design object - the result of an intensive casting process with its skilful, hand textured finish is truly an epitome of Wabi-Sabi celebrating perfection in imperfection. Disassembling the generic lampshade its structure is inspired by distortion. A play of proportions, redefine the perception of a lampshade, illuminated with a soft yellow glow, casting shadows of completeness and rawness. Crafted in Maharashtra, this futuristic lamp pays homage to Indian artisanship pushing the envelope with minimalism infusing a contemporary flair.
