TAKE on Writing Series: ‘THE BOOK – The New Writing Group’

When: 16 -17 December 2016

Where: 1A, Qutab Minar, Mehrauli Road, New Delhi

Curator, art historian, and writer Chus Martinez and novelist, writer, and artist Ingo Niermann will lead a two day workshop, ‘The Book - The New Writing Group’ from 16 to 17 December. The workshop explored new ways of writing ‘around’ art and issues around ‘the book’ to see if there is a potential to engage language differently to ultimately develop and write a ‘book’ together.

As part of the TAKE TALKS series, TAKE on Art co-hosted ‘Museum as Form’ with Aneeth Arora from Pero. An intimate round-table conversation between artist and bookmaker, Dayanita Singh and artist, Mithu Sen, the event discussed the form and formlessness of the museum.

Launch of Publication ‘Making Space for Art’

Founded by Suresh Jayaram, 1 Shanthiroad has continued to break new ground, nurtured new and old talent, and triggered meaningful engagements with visual art in the city of Bangalore.

Launch: TAKE Business, Issue 16

TAKE on Art magazine launched its 16th issue, TAKE Business on 29 January 2015 at Dusit Devarana, hosted by Bhavna Kakar. The magazine was launched as part of the India Art Fair 2015 inaugural party that attracts the dignitaries of the art world from India and abroad.
