Launch: TAKE Sacred, Issue 13

TAKE on Art magazine launched its 13th issue, TAKE Sacred, guest edited by cultural theorist and curator Nancy Adajania on 30 January 2014 at Lodi – The Garden Restaurant, hosted by Bhavna Kakar. The magazine was launched as part of TAKE’s fifth anniversary and the India Art Fair 2014 inaugural party that attracts the dignitaries of the art world from India and abroad.

TAKE on Art magazine’s 12th issue, TAKE Photography guest edited by art historian and curator Dr Alka Pande (art historian and curator) was launched by Swiss curator, editor and author Urs Stahel at the Delhi Photo Festival.

Launch: TAKE Residency, Issue 11

To mark the launch of TAKE Residency, TAKE on Art and the India Foundation for the Arts, organized a symposium ‘TAKE on Residencies’ presenting reflections by artists, curators, organizations who host residencies, and funders to deliberate upon the educational possibilities, expectations and challenges of residencies.

Launch: TAKE Collector, Issue 9

TAKE on Art magazine launched its 9th issue, TAKE Collector on 1 November 2012 at Neerja Modi Centre for Visual and Performing Arts, Jaipur. The evening also marked the inaugural day of the Sandarbh 2012 Artist Residency Programme for which TAKE on Art was a media partner.

Launch: TAKE Biennale, Issue 8

To mark the launch of TAKE Biennale, guest edited by poet, cultural theorist and curator Ranjit Hoskote, TAKE on Art hosted the panel discussion ‘The Biennale is Everywhere’ on 15 September 2012 at Jnanapravaha, Mumbai, which responded to the themes and questions related to the biennale, proposed in this issue.

To mark the launch of TAKE Market, TAKE on Art invited artist Jitish Kallat for an illustrated talk about his solo shows at the Bhau Daji Lad Museum, Mumbai, and the Art Institute of Chicago on 15 December 2011 at the Sunaparanta,Goa Centre for the Arts. The evening was hosted by Bhavna Kakar with Dipti and Dattaraj V. Salgaocar.
