Virginia Torrente

Virginia Torrente is a graduate in the History of Art from Universidad Complutense in Madrid. She worked as curator and head of exhibitions at Coleccion Arte Contemporaneo from 1993 to 1999, and at Museo Patio Herreriano in Valladolid from 2000 to 2003. From 2004 to 2006, she was visual arts curator at Casa de América in Madrid, programming over 20 exhibitions per year. Torrente has been working as a freelance curator since 2007, with a special mention for her projects for MARCO in Vigo, CAAC in Seville, and CA2M in Mostoles, Madrid, in 2008. She has also been part of Domostico, the independent curatorial project, since 1999.
