Archana Hebbar Colquhoun is an art critic, educator, and an artist. She has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Art History from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda. She studied Sculpture at Boston University, U.S.A. (1991). She worked as an art critic at the Art Heritage gallery, New Delhi and has written about K.G. Subramanyan, Vivan Sundaram, and other well-known contemporary Indian artists. An abridged version of her Master’s thesis on the Tambekarwada murals was published in the India Magazine. As an educator, in Japan, she taught cross-cultural studies at Universities in Tokyo. Upon returning to Bangalore she was appointed Head of the Art History department at the Shristi School of Art and Design.
