TAKE Party — Celebrating 10 years of TAKE on Art and Gallery Latitude 28
Hosted by Bhavna Kakar, TAKE on Art and Gallery Latitude 28 celebrated an evening dedicated to fashion, food, art and culture from Bengal, to mark the completion of ten years of her two ventures. TAKE on Art also launched its 25th issue, TAKE Bengal during the party on 28th January 2020 at Rooh, Mehrauli.

In continuation of TAKE’s commitment to art writing, and the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia’s sustained efforts in promoting critical discourse, we are pleased to announce the second edition of Art Writers’ Award (AWA), 2019-20. The award identifies and supports one Indian writer in the fields of visual arts, theatre, architecture, design, photography, etc. and offer the recipient a research residency in Switzerland for a period of up to 45 days.

TAKE on Art magazine launched its 24th issue, TAKE Fashion, guest edited by Mayank Mansingh Kaul on 31 January 2019 at Agni, The Park, New Delhi hosted by Bhavna Kakar, Priya Paul and Sethu Vaidyanathan. The magazine was launched as part of the India Art Fair 2019 pre-inaugural party that attracts the dignitaries of the art world from India and abroad.

A public talk by Andreas Vogel and Tania Prill, it looked at the results of the Critical Writing Workshop ‘Readers of All Countries, Publish’, along with the selected participants. The talk was conducted in collaboration with Department of Art History and Aesthetics, The Faculty of Fine Arts, MSU Baroda and Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia.

The lecture is a part of the Critical Writing Workshop conceptualised by Bhavna Kakar.
