Shaista Anwar, an independent researcher, studied Art History and Visual Studies at the University of Hyderabad. As part of the Masters programme, she got an opportunity to attend a semester at the Karl Jaspers Centre for Advanced Transcultural Studies in Universität Heidelberg, Germany. Her research is based on Islamic art, Middle East art and architecture. At present, she is teaching Art History at the National Institute of Fashion and Technology, New Delhi.
