Introduced by the legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray when she was barely in her teens, Aparna Sen is an award-winning actress and filmmaker who has won laurels within the country and abroad. She is the recipient of the Padma Shri and National awards for her outstanding contribution to cinema. She has chaired and served on several film festival juries including Moscow and Locarno. Most recently, she was chairperson of the jury that selected India’s entry to the Oscars.
