Ami Barak is the former Head of the Visual Art Department, City Council of Paris and the former Director of the TRAC (The Regional Collection of Contemporary Art) Languedoc- Roussillon, 1993-2002. Over the past 2O years, Barak has functioned as an independent curator of dozens of projects and exhibitions besides being the Former President of the International Association of Contemporary Art Curators (IKT), 2002-2005. He lives and works in Paris, France.
