Curator, art historian, and writer Chus Martinez and novelist, writer, and artist Ingo Niermann will lead a two day workshop, ‘The Book – The New Writing Group’ from 16 to 17 December. The workshop explored new ways of writing ‘around’ art and issues around ‘the book’ to see if there is a potential to engage language differently to ultimately develop and write a ‘book’ together. During this forum, selected participants will invent new ways of collectively using language differently – texting, writing, procrastinating and telling – as methods to perform their abilities to use language and to communicate about art, the city, the cultural context, and the group. The workshop is in collaboration with Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia and supported by Gallery Latitude 28 and Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation with 1AQ as venue partner.
