TAKE on Art magazine launched its 24th issue, TAKE Fashion, guest edited by Mayank Mansingh Kaul on 31 January 2019 at Agni, The Park, New Delhi hosted by Bhavna Kakar, Priya Paul and Sethu Vaidyanathan. The magazine was launched as part of the India Art Fair 2019 pre-inaugural party that attracts the dignitaries of the art world from India and abroad.

TAKE Fashion

TAKE Fashion is a special issue that presents an overview of fashion in India over the last century. This issue was developed through interactions with individuals on their associations and reflections on Indian fashion from a range of backgrounds such as Asha Kochhar, Bandana Tewari, Ina Puri, Pallavi Verma, Priya Paul, Saif Habibullah, Samar S. Jodha, Shalini Passi, among others. It helped us to break from the traditional author-essay format used in TAKE on Art magazine and give way to a new form based on live-interactions and conversations. TAKE Fashion brings together an archive of lived-experiences through memories, anecdotes, family albums, age-old magazines and books, heirloom possessions and private collections, thus exploring fashion from a parallel perspective, making each of the content in the issue unique.
