TAKE on Writing – The Book

17 December 2016

TAKE on art has been invested in sustaining critical writing practices in India not just through its own capacity as a publication but also by organising initiatives that try to generate discourse, and keep conversations alive. The most recent edition TAKE on Writing – The Book continued this commitment by exploring language and its keeper, the book, for the ways in which they contain or are contained by art and art writing.

THE BOOK - The New Writing Group

16 December 2016

Led by Chus Martínez and Ingo Niermann, the workshop explored new ways of writing ‘around’ art and issues around ‘the book’ to see if there is a potential to engage language differently to ultimately develop and write a ‘book’ together. During this forum, selected participants will invent new ways of collectively using language differently — texting, writing, procrastinating and telling — as methods to perform their abilities to use language and to communicate about art, the city, the cultural context, and the group.
